Getting started...registering at auction

  • If you want to bid at an auction, you will need a Buyers Number. These are available at the auction and require the completion of a very simple form.
  • A copy of the Conditions Of Sale is on the back of your number. You should read these carefully.
  • Once you have registered, if you bid, it is on the assumption that you legally accept the conditions of sale.
  • At each auction a comprehensive catalogue is available or it can be viewed at our website.

How to bid at auction

If you wish to bid on an item

  • Use your bidders number to identify yourself
  • Make sure you are in an area that is easy for the auctioneer to see
  • Hold your card up high to make your bid clear to the auctioneer
  • After your initial bid the auctioneers will keep an eye on you to see if you wish to continue bidding
  • Once your bid is successful hold up your buyer's number for identification

If you can't attend the auction...absentee bids

If for some reason you are unable to attend the auction, but wish to bid, we have an absentee buying service.  Just ask our staff for an absentee bid form which you complete and our staff will bid, on your behalf
